The Winton Elementary Locker aka "The Wolf Den"

The day the Sandy Hook tragedy happened, members of the Coeur Group stepped up and out to help one of our local schools Winton Elementary in Coeur d'Alene. The Coeur Group creates a "locker" that is, a location in the local schools that supplies needed items such as coats, boots, gloves, hygiene supplies and more.

For Winton, because space is such a commodity, it was determined that an outdoor locker would be the best approach. The Coeur Group "sprang" into action and provided a plan, resources and got the project complete with the final handing off ceremony this Wednesday 11am.

An Elegant Night on the Lake

An Elegant Night on the Lake at Duane and Lola Hagadone's, Tuesday, July 24.

Members of the Coeur Group assisted the Boys and Girls Club of Kootenai County by selling 300 Club Memberships and encouraging guests to purchase additional golf shots for charity.

The event was very successful, raising close to 1/2 million dollars for the Boys and Girls Club.

2012 Drive for Hope Scholarship Golf Tournament

The Coeur Group recently pitched in to help the Kroc Center with their 2012 Drive for Hope Scholarship Golf Tournament. 132 golfers, 4 hospitality sponsors, 10 tee sponsors, 17 green sponsors, fabulous breakfast and lunch and amazing Hole-In-One opportunities! The sun stayed out just long enough and Avondale Golf Course was beautiful.

The Scholarship Program provides children, families and seniors in our community the opportunity to use this state-of-the-art facility. Scholarships allow our youth to go to summer camps, learn how to swim and keep active after school. Together at our tournament we raised just over $16,700, that will go directly into this program.

Candidate Forum

Candidate Forum: Thursday, October 11th at 4pm
The Coeur d'Alene Library | 702 East Front Avenue

The forum will host debates for Legislative District 2, Legislative District 3, Legislative District 4, Kootenai County Sheriff, and Kootenai County Commissioner District 1.

Debates for legislative districts are scheduled for 15 minutes each, starting at 4:00 p.m., and the Kootenai County Sheriff and Kootenai Commissioner debates are scheduled for 30 minutes each, starting at 7:00 p.m. Candidates are allotted one minute each. Two (2) panelists will pose questions with a representative from the Coeur Group moderating. The moderator will allow cross examination and follow-up from members with additional questions.

The Candidates Forum will be aired live on CDA TV Cable Channel 19 on October 11th, starting at 4:00 p.m. and will be rebroadcast through November 5th.
